What is Kohl's?

Kohl's, founded by the Kohl family in Milwaukee in 1962 and now with stores in 40 states, will grow by a third over the next two years after an aggressive expansion drive.

Kohl's stores are mainly concentrated in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States, featuring high-quality national brand merchandise at specific prices. The company's stores sell mid-priced clothing, shoes, accessories and home products, targeting middle-income customers to purchase goods for their families.

Kohl's has successfully attracted a large number of customers by launching a strong publicity campaign with various promotional methods. For example, the first 600 customers of each new store were given a Kohl's handbag; before the opening of 28 new stores in California, nearby residents received coupons worth $10. In addition, customers who filled out the application form for Kohl's credit card in the store could get a 10% discount on shopping, etc.
