Auchan Company Introduction

Founded in 1961, Auchan Group is an international business group that mainly operates large-scale comprehensive supermarkets. It is currently ranked second in France and sixth in Europe. Its turnover in 2002 reached US$26 billion, and it ranked 162nd in the Fortune Global 500 in 2002.

The group is a family-controlled company, with the French Milier family holding 83.7% and employees holding 16.22%. The main business formats of the Auchan Group are large supermarkets, hypermarkets, and convenience stores, and it also involves processing production and finance. Currently, it has more than 300 large supermarkets, more than 600 supermarkets, and more than 600 convenience stores around the world. The number of employees reaches 160,000. Auchan supermarkets are mainly retail, and 60% of their products are food.
