Mattel Factory Audit Global Manufacturing Code/Production Code/Supplier Standards/Ethical Standards
Mattel Global Manufacturing Code applies to all units involved in the manufacture, assembly, packaging and distribution of all products or packaging bearing the Mattel trademark.
GMP provides guidance and minimum standards for all production plants, assembly centers and distribution centers that produce, assemble and distribute Mattel products. GMP requires that workers be treated safely and fairly, while protecting the environment and respecting cultural, racial and ideological differences of various countries. GMP also requires regular internal audits of Mattel and its suppliers to ensure compliance with the requirements of this code.
Mattel is committed to implementing GMP standards in all of its business and only doing business with suppliers that comply with this Code. Mattel expects all of its suppliers to comply with GMP requirements and assists suppliers in meeting the requirements of this Code. However, Mattel will terminate its relationship with suppliers that do not comply with the requirements of this Code.
Mattel and its business partners comply with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations in their operations. Mattel has established the following comprehensive standards and requires all production units and business partners to comply. This code keeps pace with the times and is constantly improved to ensure continued protection of workers and the environment.
