What is PlumeDesign?

Plume Design is a smart home service company founded in 2015 and headquartered in California, USA. It was co-founded by Adam Hotchkiss, Aman Singla, Fahri Diner and Sri Nathan, aiming to provide the best combination of hardware and software. In order to achieve this goal, Plume Design's products will undergo multiple rigorous tests from prototype design to production.

What services does PlumeDesign provide?

PlumeDesign platform provides consumers with personalized smart home service planning, delivery, support and management. The company's new products provide stable and fast network for the home. Its hexagonal "Pods" can be directly plugged into the wall socket of the home to optimize the coverage of Wi-Fi network.

Plume Design offers a line of mesh networking products for consumers, and many home networking companies are following Plume Design. Comcast invested in Plume Design and used its technology to launch xFi, which powers mesh networking products.

PlumeDesign’s current funding status:

In September 2015, Plume Design raised $21.1 million in Series A funding from Comcast and five other investors.

In January 2016, Plume Design raised $4,657,341 in Series B funding from Jackson Square Ventures and 2 other investors.

In June 2017, Plume Design raised $41.6 million in Series C funding from Comcast and DIVC (Deutsche Invest Venture Capital).

In February 2020, Plume Design, a US smart home company, completed a new round of $85 million in financing, including $60 million in Series D financing and $25 million in debt financing. The Series D financing was jointly participated by new investors Charter Communications, Qualcomm Ventures LLC, Belkin and Service Electric Cable Vision, as well as existing investors Liberty Global and Shaw Communications. At the same time, the debt financing was jointly invested by Silicon Valley Bank and West River Group.
