EUROPEAN FLAX certification certificate control

EUROPEAN FLAX certification certificate control

Certification decision and issuance of certificate

Once all non-conformities are closed, the auditor can recommend the company to the Bureau Veritas Certification EUROPEAN FLAX® Certification Committee (Technical Management) for certification.

The task of this committee is to check whether the certification process meets the requirements and make the decision on the issuance of EUROPEAN FLAX® certificates. Bureau Veritas Certification Before making a decision, the French technical management may request more detailed information or

A more in-depth on-site audit is conducted; it may also request additional audits. Once a positive certification decision is determined, Bureau Veritas Certification will issue the EUROPEAN FLAX® certification certificate to the company and notify CELC, which means the authorization is effective and the company can receive EUROPEAN FLAX® marketing tools.

Year 2: Certification confirmation-surveillance audit

Companies should refer to the latest version of the EUROPEAN FLAX® standard, certification process and checklists prior to the audit (all information available at www.european http://flax.com).

The company's subcontractor sampling audit can be conducted on-site during the additional audit time (see Appendix 1 for the subcontractor sampling rules).

The on-site audit begins with an initial meeting, which is mainly to:

•Confirm the scope of certification on the certificate.

• Select purchase and sales invoices to be submitted to the auditor during the audit

During the on-site audit, the auditor checks:

•Consistency between the information/documents provided during the first year on-site document review and on-site implementation

• Whether the EUROPEAN FLAX® standard is maintained in the second year

The auditor writes an audit report. Where applicable, non-conformities are noted in the report. Non-conformities are formalized in the non-conformity report (SF02 form - Non-conformity report). Non-conformities are handled under the same conditions as for initial certification (1st year).

The review ends with a closing meeting, which is mainly for:

•Selection of standard samples for testing: Submit the sample to an approved laboratory for composition analysis using the form on the CELC website. Composition testing is not mandatory for hemp dealers, pre-processors, traders selling non-converted materials and finished product manufacturers.

•Present the audit findings and their conclusions based on the verification of the fiber composition test results.

•Submit any Non-Conformance Reports (SF02) issued.

The audit report is finalized at the final meeting when the fiber composition test results of the standard samples are presented. After all non-conformities are closed, the auditor recommends to the Bureau Veritas Certification French EUROPEAN FLAX® Certification Committee (Technical Management) that the company maintains the certification. The task of this committee is to check whether the certification procedures meet the requirements and confirm that the EUROPEAN FLAX® certificate is maintained.

Bureau Veritas Certification French technical management may issue an opinion after requesting more detailed and in-depth information from the company or a more in-depth on-site audit; it may also request an additional audit.
