The EUROPEAN FLAX certification is audited by BV. The handling fee depends on the size of the factory. The whole process costs about 30,000 to 40,000 yuan. General requirements 1.1 The enterprise shall have a procedure to ensure the traceability system. The procedure may or may not be documented. 1.2 Enterprises should establish and keep records that meet the requirements of this standard for at least three years, especially: purchase invoices, supplier lists, supplier certificates, production records, sales invoices, test results, etc. 1.3 The company must ensure that only certified flax is used as raw material input for certified products. 1.4 If an establishment uses non-certified flax, it must be physically separated based on space/time/other identification methods. Assessment and Verification: The company should provide an appropriate description of the system. During the on-site audit, the auditor should be able to trace the raw materials and verify that physical separation is ensured. Euroupean Flax is a registered trademark owned by the European Flax Confederation (CELC) and its subsidiary CELC CELC DEVELOPPEMENT. CELC is the international authority in flax certification and the only European agro-industrial organisation uniting all stages of flax production and transformation. Euroupean Flax guarantees traceability of high-quality European flax fibres, which account for 85% of the world’s flax production and is a natural, sustainable fibre grown without artificial irrigation and non-GMO. The Flax Standard is designed to certify the Euroupean Flax chain of custody. In other words, every link in the supply chain where the material is involved, from the fiber producer to the finished product, including processing and trading, must be certified to ensure the traceability of the Euroupean Flax raw material. Products are only certified if they are produced/traded by a certified company, consist of 100% certified flax, and the final flax content of the product is ≥50%. Invoices that follow specific requirements are key to prove the flow of certified raw materials in each link of the Euroupean Flax chain of custody.
