2016 WRAP Certification Latest Guidelines

2016 WRAP Certification Latest Guidelines

WRAP is reviewing its social responsibility certification policy and setting transparency as a core issue. As a leading global factory inspection consulting company, Shanghai Chaowang Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. will also promptly release the latest standard updates, certification requirements and other latest information to customers. As part of the revision of its 12 principles, from January 1, 2016, WRAP changed its certification criteria, even if the factory has not fully met the working hours requirements of local laws and regulations, it will allow the factory to meet the standards under certain conditions. These conditions include:

1. Work time records must be completely transparent;

2. Ensure that all overtime work is voluntary and is carried out under conditions that ensure safety and health;

3. All employees’ remuneration must fully comply with WRAP’s principles on remuneration and benefits;

4. Each subsequent audit must demonstrate progress compared to the previous audit and continue to improve towards working hour requirements that comply with local laws and regulations.

Chaowang looks forward to working with all participating factories, audit partners, brands/retailers that recognize WRAP, and all other stakeholders to welcome this new era of social responsibility certification, a new era of social responsibility certification based on transparency and committed to promoting real and continuously improved social responsibility certification. We are always pursuing excellence, we are "heart to heart" with our customers, we do not "inspect factories" for the sake of "inspecting factories", Chaowang and other members of the Xiesheng Group will help foreign trade processing companies break through the difficulties of the post-labor era and achieve business and profit sustainability.
