Wal-Mart's Trust-Mart is on the price violation blacklist again

On December 4, 2012, the Hangzhou Municipal Price Bureau reported price violations at a price law publicity month press conference and announced ten price fraud cases, including real estate companies, supermarkets that did not clearly mark prices, and education charges that were all on the list.

According to Wang Weidong, director of the Supervision and Inspection Branch of the Hangzhou Price Bureau, by the end of November, the city had investigated and dealt with 130 price violation cases, with a total amount of economic sanctions of more than 7.105 million yuan, including confiscation of 2.885 million yuan, fines of 2.9957 million yuan, and refunds of 1.2243 million yuan to consumers. Ten typical price violation cases investigated and dealt with in 2012 were also exposed.

The reporter noticed that Wal-Mart once again appeared on the list of the top ten illegal cases in 2012, this time involving the low marking and high settlement of the Hangzhou Gudun branch.

The sales price indicated on that day was 14,295 yuan/square meter, while the actual transaction price of the commercial housing was 13,151.4 yuan/square meter. The Municipal Price Bureau will impose an administrative penalty of 200,000 yuan on it in accordance with the law. On October 17, 2012, the "Tianyuan Green County" real estate project developed by Hangzhou Minglang Real Estate Co., Ltd. had 52 houses on sale without price lists. The Municipal Price Bureau imposed an administrative penalty of 161,000 yuan on it in accordance with the law.

In addition, this notice also includes the case of Hangzhou Qiannong Oil Co., Ltd. arbitrarily raising the retail price of refined oil, the case of Hangzhou Fuda Medical Clinic suspected of not implementing the government's guiding price, the case of Enis Beauty and Hairdressing Vocational Skills Training School's charging standards not being reported for filing, the case of Hangzhou Desheng Dongcun Kindergarten's repeated charging, and the case of Tonglu Road Traffic Accident Rescue Center arbitrarily raising the parking fees for accident vehicles.

According to the Hangzhou Price Bureau, there are many cases of price violations in the department store industry. In addition to Wal-Mart, other hypermarkets include Trust-Mart and Wumart. Among them, Hangzhou Trust-Mart Department Store Co., Ltd. used two price tags to indicate the price of dried mussels when selling them. The Hangzhou Price Bureau imposed an administrative penalty of 80,000 yuan on it in accordance with the law.

As for Wumart Hypermarket, when its Wenyi store sold the "Longwochun Wine Tower", the price tag was incomplete and lacked specifications, models and other elements. The Hangzhou Price Bureau imposed an administrative penalty of 4,000 yuan on it in accordance with the law.
