Application of BRC standards in food The BRC standard is currently a benchmark document for food safety management , which reflects the EU's code and practice requirements on food safety. Its implementation is carried out under the supervision of a mandatory entity. After the 2005 revision, its standards reflect: • Traceability of food ingredients • Food ingredients are not contaminated by other substances • Food producers and suppliers must be able to identify the exact origins of the crops in their products • Ensure that guidance at each stage of food production is adequate and effective • Record traceability of suppliers Therefore, all retailers, manufacturers, importers, restaurant owners, raw material suppliers and food service industry personnel can benefit greatly from the essence of the standard embodied above. The standard has been widely adopted by suppliers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Far East, Australia and North and South America. |
