eBay store opening guide, store opening costs

To open an eBay store, you need to calculate the store opening fees. How to calculate the eBay store opening fees?

eBay store opening fees

1. When we sell something on eBay, we need to pay a basic fee to the eBay website.

2. When you sign up for an account, it's free.

3. The fees on the eBay platform are charged per order or per item, and a "stall fee" is charged, which has many details.

4. There are two common transaction methods on eBay: auction and fixed price.

No matter which method you use, the first thing you must pay is the "Insert Fee". As the name suggests, it is the cost of adding your product to the eBay market so that buyers can see your product. The Insert Fee varies depending on the price of the product. Please see the table below:

Insertion fee list:

Starting Price Insertion Fee

£0.01 - £0.99 £0.10

£1.00 - £4.99 £0.15

£5.00 - £14.99 £0.25

£15.00 - £29.99 £0.50

£30.00 - £99.99 £1.00

£100.00 or more £1.30

Multiple items in one order with a total value of £100.00 or more £1.90

That is to say, if you want to sell a scarf for 10 pounds, if you choose to use the "fixed price" method, the insertion fee is 0.25 pounds;

If you use an auction method and the starting price is £0.99, the insertion fee is £0.10. If the starting price is £4.99, the insertion fee is £0.15.

If the product you put on the market is not sold, eBay will not charge you any more money; if it is sold, eBay will charge a "Final Value Fee" in proportion to the product. Please see the table below:
