eBay listing optimization tips to avoid duplicate listings

eBay listing optimization tips to avoid duplicate listings

Listings with similar titles, prices, fitments, Brands/MPNs (or IPNs, OPNs), and UPCs/EANs will most likely be identified as duplicate listings and deleted by eBay. Obviously, the special identification parameters mentioned above, especially Brand and MPN (or IPN, OPN), are very important for sellers to maintain listings.

● Important note: If the products sold are different but correspond to the same OEM number, please name the MPN (Manufacturer Part Number), IPN (Interchange Part Number), OPN (Other Part Number) as different ERP system codes to distinguish different products.

How to fill out a qualified listing in the auto and motorcycle parts category?

1. Fitment (compatibility)

Vehicle compatibility is extremely important for auto parts listings. If a product has a corresponding compatible vehicle model, it is strongly recommended that the seller maintain the compatible vehicle model in the listing. This can effectively increase product exposure and search traffic. Maintaining the compatibility of different vehicle models can also effectively prevent the eBay backend from mistakenly identifying similar products as duplicate listings.

If the number of vehicle model compatibility exceeds the upper limit of a single listing, the seller can create up to 5 listings to maintain all vehicle model compatibility. Please note: the number of vehicle model compatibility for each listing must be used up before the next listing can be created.

2. Listing Title

Sellers are advised to highlight the features of the product in the product listing title, such as product type, color, style, packaging quantity, brand important code number, whether it is a single item or a set, product advantages, whether it is a modified part or a high-performance product, etc.

3. Item Specifics Product parameters are very important!

Filling in all product parameters completely is not only the choice of all top sellers in the world, but also may reduce the probability of different products being mistakenly identified as duplicate listings by the eBay backend, and minimize the GMV loss caused by accidental deletion.
