What are the rules for posting pictures on eBay?

High-quality pictures can provide buyers with a better shopping experience, make it easier for buyers to find your items, and make items easier to sell. Learn the skills of pictures, take better pictures, and meet eBay's detailed set of standards for listing item pictures.

When you sell on eBay, you upload at least one picture in your listing, but we strongly recommend that you upload more high-quality, high-resolution pictures to increase your chances of a successful sale. Below are our image policies, please make sure your listings comply with these guidelines. If you violate the image policy, your listing may be removed from the shelves, or eBay may take other measures to punish you, such as not returning the transaction fee or limiting the amount of sales you can make.

Image Policy:

1) The image should be between 500-1600 pixels and the image size should not exceed 7MB

2) Used/refurbished/damaged products may not use new product images

3) Store logos/advertising/promotional texts are not allowed

4) No borders, shading, illustrations or icons

5) Please take pictures by yourself, please do not steal them

Regarding pictures, eBay also gives sellers some tips:

1) Try to use a simple, clean solid color background to highlight your product

2) Avoid overexposure of the image due to flash when shooting

3) To avoid blurry or jittery images, it is recommended to use a tripod for shooting

4) Try to use images with higher resolution

5) Try to place the product in the middle of the picture so that it takes up 80%-90% of the entire picture.

6) Photograph product details from multiple angles. If there are any defects on the product surface, they must also be presented in the pictures.

7) The size of the product can be displayed by comparison

8) Try to restore the original color of the product when shooting

9) Close-up shots of products can be taken

10) Be careful when adding props to the photo to avoid distracting buyers from the idea that the props are included.

11) Optimize images for mobile phones

12) Images with a resolution of more than 800 pixels can be zoomed in
