BSCI Certification Working Hours Self-Test Checklist

Most companies’ working hours cannot meet the BSCI certification requirements. The following is a BSCI certification working hours self-test checklist to help companies prepare for dealing with working hours related issues: 1. Whether workers can get adequate rest time such as meal breaks and night rest. 2. Are the normal working hours of the factory 8 hours a day and 48 hours a week? 3. Whether the factory recruiters understand the legal working hours and explain the relevant provisions to the workers during recruitment. 4. Factories need to understand which jobs require more rest time due to danger or monotony and give workers in these positions the corresponding rest time. 5. Whether workers are provided with information about their daily rest periods and whether they receive the rest periods accordingly. 6. Has the factory received any complaints about workers not having enough rest time? 7. Does the factory have measures and relevant records for handling complaints about insufficient rest time? 8. Has the factory formulated relevant measures to ensure that young workers, pregnant women and night shift workers get adequate rest? The above is part of the BSCI certification working hours self-test checklist. It is very necessary for the factory to conduct relevant tests before BSCI certification. Otherwise, problems will easily occur during the BSCI on-site audit, which may seriously lead to failure of BSCI certification. |
