Starting from 2020, OEKO-TEX has updated the test standards and limit value requirements for the 2020 version of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX product certification as usual. The new standard will take effect for all certified products from April 1, 2020. In 2019, carcinogens nitrosamines and nitrosatable substances were added as "monitored" substances, and in 2020, these substances were included in the restricted lists of Appendix 4 and Appendix 6, with a new item, N-nitrosomethylethylamine (CAS 10595-95-6). The herbicide glyphosate and its salts were included in the standard catalog after a year-long monitoring by the OEKO-TEX Association. The total content of harmful elements arsenic and mercury is limited: The total amount limit of phthalates has been reduced: In order to comply with the provisions of entry 68 of Annex XVII of REACH Regulation and as new compounds, the following substances will be observed: In Appendices 5 and 7 of STANDARD 100, 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecane sulfonic acid (8:2 FTS) and its salts (CAS 39108-34-4 and CAS 27619-96-1) and PFOA-related substances or their compounds are listed as “monitored” substances.
