OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Definition Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS18001) is a management system standard, which aims to reduce and prevent the loss of life, property, time and damage to the environment caused by accidents through management. OHSAS18001 provides organizations with a set of management methods to control risks: through professional investigation and evaluation and compliance assessment of relevant regulatory requirements, identify the hazards existing in the company's products, services, activities, and working environment, formulate appropriate control plans for unacceptable hazards and risks, implement control plans, regularly check and evaluate occupational health and safety regulations and plans, establish a management system including organizational structure, responsibilities, training, information communication, emergency preparedness and response, and continuously improve occupational health and safety performance. Emergency Plan and Response of Occupational Safety and Health Management System 1. The standard requires that organizations should develop and maintain procedures for handling accidents and emergencies. The development of procedures should take into account events in abnormal, accidental and emergency situations, especially major accidents such as fire, explosion and toxic leakage. Organizations must develop on-site emergency plans for possible major accidents in accordance with relevant regulations and assist in developing off-site emergency plans. 2. The organization should have an on-site emergency plan for each major hazardous facility. The emergency plan should include: ISO9001, ISO9000, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, TS16949, HACCP, ISO22000, ISO14064, ISO22716, ISO13485, ISO10002, ISO10015, QC080000, SA8000, ISO26000, ISO27001, ISO28000, TL9000, WRAP, ICTI, BSCI, SGS, FSC, GMP, ROHS, ITS, BRC and GB/T15496 enterprise standard system, etc. |
